From August 13 to 16, four intense qualifying tournaments took place for this summer's main esports event — the k1ngsMAN- | Elite Protocol tournament. The CYBERLIFE organization closely followed every match, and it was truly exciting. Tickets to the LAN tournament on August 22 and 23 were secured by four completely different teams.

📊 Qualifiers Scale in Numbers

  • 23 teams submitted 51 applications, and 125 unique players entered the servers.
  • 85 matches (29 + 27 + 12 + 17) and 90 maps were played.
  • 1,788 rounds were played, with 12,389 frags recorded — almost every second shot landed right in the head (HS 49.5%).
  • Players achieved 14 aces, 113 quad kills, and pulled off 233 clutches.
  • 6 overtimes were played, and the longest map lasted a full 34 rounds.
  • Each qualifier was a real marathon: the start was given at 14:00, and the grand finals ended closer to 22:30.

🔥 How it went: Battle Chronology

Qual #1 — A story of revenge. Team youngstars confidently advanced through the upper bracket but lost to Xtreme gaming in the winners' final. Falling to the lower bracket, they knocked out BLG and returned to the grand final for a rematch: a solid 13-6 on Ancient and 13-10 on Dust2. The leader of the comeback was -kray, who delivered 46 frags with 23 deaths and 111 ADR in the final.

Qual #2 — A perfect run. lifelovers became the only team in the qualifiers to not drop a single match: 5-0, without a single forfeit. In the grand final against WE-OWN, they took Cache (13-6) and snatched victory in an overtime thriller on Anubis (16-13). The top three players by rating in these qualifiers were all from their roster.

Qual #3 — The day of BLG and no-shows. The most compact qualifier (8 teams) produced the most intense final. BLG squeezed out a 2-1 win against NoLimit Team, crushing their opponents on the deciding Inferno map (13-3). On the same day, the longest map of the qualifiers was played: eSports Nexus vs VALIDOL overtime (19-15), where player mauham shot 46-17 with 116 ADR. Unfortunately, NO MERCY didn't even join the server that day, receiving two technical defeats and dropping out without playing a single map.

Qual #4 — Comeback from 0-1. WE-OWN, who had a bitter loss in the final against lifelovers the day before, returned to claim what was theirs. After a 7-13 defeat on Anubis from NoLimit Team, they flipped the series — 13-8 on Cache and 13-9 on Dust2. The Grand Final became the highest-scoring bloodbath: four players hit 45+ frags at once, and THE KING IS BACK set an absolute record — 53 frags in a match! For NoLimit Team, it became their second lost grand final in two days — the most painful statistic of the qualifiers.

🌟 Qualifiers Heroes and Records

  • shadow1soul (lifelovers) — MVP across all metrics: K/D 2.00 (122-61), 114 ADR, 1.72 rating. Simply an immortal player on the server.
  • NOPiE奇蹟 (WE-OWN) — A true fragging machine: 297 kills (most overall), 1.47 rating over a 12-match distance, 3 aces (including two on one Anubis map in Qual #2) and the best map performance of the qualifiers (29-13, 154 ADR, 1.83 rating).
  • THE KING IS BACK (WE-OWN) — 53 frags in the grand final — the best individual match of the qualifiers.
  • mauham — 262 frags for two different teams (B2B in qual #1, eSports Nexus in qual #3) and 46 frags in a 34-round overtime.
  • haru-22 (BLG) — The hardest working player: 16 matches across three qualifiers, 276 frags and aces in two different qualifiers.

🛡 Fighter Teams

The "CYBERLIFE" tournament organizers highlight teams BLG (most wins: 12-4, three qualifiers, consistently in the top, and a well-deserved title in qual #3) and WE-OWN (10-2 stats, lost only the final to lifelovers and took what was theirs the very next day).

Teams eSports Nexus, MPL, and NO MERCY proved their status as iron hard-workers, playing out all four qualifiers. True, with a caveat: 4 of the 9 MPL "wins" were opponent forfeits (real score 5-8). Meanwhile, the "came just to watch" prize goes to Skids (a single played map for all qualifiers with a 0-13 score) and MacCentru (signed up, but played zero rounds).

🗺 Qualifiers Meta: Maps

The undisputed pick leader became Anubis (23 times), which hosted half of all qualifier overtimes. It was followed by Mirage (21) and Dust2 (19). Less popular were Ancient (14), Nuke (6), and Inferno (4). The real exotic pick was Cache (3), which nevertheless fired off twice right in the grand finals.
